New initiatives

It is evident from attending IMO MEPC meetings (Marine Environment Protection Committee - responsible fro GHG policy) and discussions at numerous conferences, regulatory bodies, trade shows and one-to-one meetings that there are many countries, organizations and ship owners/operators who would support positive action. What is lacking is co-ordination and leadership.

 

Carbon War Room in partnership with Forum for the Future is providing the structure, funding and forum for early adopters to reach an agreement on finding a voluntary way forward.

 

The lack of progress at IMO may be  for some, a convenient excuse for doing nothing.

 

Greenwave is committed to the principle that doing nothing is not an option and has been supporting this initiative.
