Sea trials, independently monitored by Lloyds Register, are planned for 2010. The building of these pre-production models  and subsequent production model wind engines will be handled by a major UK maritime engineering company with an impeccable record in maritime service  and engineering. 

The portability of the Wind Engine concept, made possible by its containerisation, means Wind Engines can be shipped to any port around the globe for installation locally under supervision and with appropriate  inspection by a classification society.
